Pedestrian struck and killed near Anniston Sunday night

ALEA Trooper Justin O’Neal said the incident happened at approximately 7:57 p.m.
Phillip Bonds, 61, was struck and fatally injured as he was walking along U.S. 431. A vehicle traveling northbound on U.S. 431 struck Bonds as he stepped out onto the roadway, about three miles north of Anniston.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
