DEMAND for dogs has boomed since the first national lockdown but with that has led to a rise in dog kidnapping across the nation - leaving many in despair. A Higher Kinnerton family has issued a desperate appeal for information after their male and female Cocker Spaniels were stolen last month. Suzie and Spring are just two of the 465 dogs reported as stolen to DogLost, the UK’s largest lost and stolen dog service, in the last year. Owner Katherine said: “Suzie and Spring are a massive part of our family and we are absolutely devastated that they are still missing. I would like to appeal directly to anyone who may have Suzie and Spring to please do the right thing and bring them back home to where they belong. ....
Retired police officer Mike Jasper was walking through his local park with his spaniel cross, Ted, one morning last month when two men wearing facemasks approached him and started to ask questions about his beloved four-year-old pet. Feeling uncomfortable, 66-year-old Mike started to walk away, only to find himself pushed to the ground while one of the men forced the lead from his hand and made off with Ted. Mike has not seen him since.
