IT WAS a momentous albeit “magic” day for a group of Rockhampton racing stakeholders on Saturday when they shared in the spoils of a trio of feature wins at Eagle Farm in Brisbane.
All three winners - Master Jamie, Sweet Dolly and Alpine Edge - are owned fully or in part by well-known Rocky racing identities, while the trio were graduates of Magic Millions Gold Coast Sales. ....

A QUARTET of Rockhampton-trained horses will take the quantum leap when they contest some serious races at Eagle Farm’s Summer Racing Carnival in Brisbane on Saturday.
Graeme Green’s Master Jamie and Kotabharu, Kevin Hansen’s Sweet Dolly and Adrian Coome’s Buffy have been in outstanding form and are expected to more than make their presence felt.
Hansen admitted to feeling “pretty excited” about the prospects of Cinderella filly Sweet Dolly, which is pitted against some major Magic Millions 2YO Classic hopefuls in her Brisbane contest. ....

Checked out. come pettive to athletes may not want to be benched because of a blinking light but a yellow or red one doesn t always mean game over. justin stanley coaches the wild cats junior hockey team in randolph, new jersey. this season the team put check light to the test. have you you seen some lights on the ice. we had a couple of yellow and had the boys checked out. some people will wonder if check light can be abused. if you are going to see teenager boys thinking it is a good idea to light each other up. are you seeing that? it goes away after the first little bit of getting used to having the technology. they stop that pretty quick. if check light or similar technologies are proven to be effective, the hope is that in a rough game tough players won t be left with permanent damage. ....
