The Huskies scored three goals in the second period to take control and improve to 15-8-1 overall and 5-5 in the WCHA. “We needed that win,” Tech coach Joe Shawhan said. “I give credit to the players. They just kept grinding. We’ve been doing the right things and not getting the result. Tonight, some goals went in for us and that was the difference.” ....

The Huskies are now 14-6-1 overall and 4-3 in the WCHA. “I thought we played well, but we just couldn’t score,” Tech coach Joe Shawhan said. “Other than the 2-on-1 in the second period for a goal, we didn’t give up much in the game. I thought we generated enough offense to win but we didn’t. I credit Lake Superior for the job they did.” ....

The Huskies improved to 9-5-1 overall and 3-2 in the WCHA. “Ferris is a hard team to beat, especially on this track,” Tech coach Joe Shawhan said. “Together I thought we were playing well. We played hard and got better as the game progressed. I thought we were doing what we needed to get offensive zone pressure, and I thought our transition play was good too.
