Share May 24, 2021, 12:13 AM Michigan-based filmmakers Razi Jafri and colleague Justin Feltman have produced a documentary on Hamtramck, showing how democracy works in America s first city with a Muslim-majority city council. “We should take pride in a place like Hamtramck,” Jafri tells The Detroit News. “It shows how multiculturalism can and should happen in the United States… It’s just a really great example of how we can build community and how Americans can get involved in the civic process.” The film is slated to air Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the World Channel s “America ReFramed” series. ....
