Officer Jeffrey Smith Died by Suicide, Acting Chief Robert Contee Says

The acting chief of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department has revealed that another officer died in the wake of the D.C. insurrection. The man was identified as MPD officer
Jeffrey Smith.
Howard Liebengood–the son of a former Senate sergeant-at-arms–was previously reported. MPD Chief
Robert Contee did not get into specifics, only saying that Officers Smith and Liebengood were at the Capitol on Jan. 6 and took their own lives in the aftermath of the insurrection.

Bodycam footage shows MAGA rioters trampling over dying woman on the steps of the US Capitol


Rosanne Boyland, 34, from Georgia, died during the pro-Trump riot on the U.S. Capitol on January 6
The official cause of death of the MAGA supporter has not been determined but her family say she was trampled
Bodycam footage shows Boyland lying on the ground as rioters trample over her to beat officers with a hockey stick and a crutch
Her friend Justin Winchell is heard repeatedly crying for help and saying that Boyland is dead in the newly published footage
Other rioters ignore his pleas as they push over her to continue their attack 
Boyland had earlier been seen carrying a Gadsden flag, an iconic Revolutionary War flag which carries the words Don t Tread on Me .  ....

One had dreamed of becoming a police officer and was injured in a clash with rioters. One was an Air Force veteran and a fervent supporter of President Donald Trump who was shot by police. Three others were Trump loyalists including one who sold kangaroos dressed like the president who suffered what authorities called “medical emergencies.”
These five people from disparate backgrounds and different corners of the country now share one fate: Their lives all ended last week as a mob incited by Trump stormed the Capitol.
Federal prosecutors have opened investigations into the deaths of two the officer beaten by pro-Trump rioters, and the California woman shot inside the Capitol. Before she died in Wednesday s siege at the U.S. Capitol, Rosanne Boyland was a recovering drug addict who wanted to become a sobriety counselor. But the Georgia woman also believed, wrongly, that President Donald Trump won the November election and had begun following a dark conspiracy theory that has circulated online, her family said.
