In a peculiar case of passing the buck, Villa Calangute Resort Pvt Ltd in north Goa said it has no loudspeakers and that Amazon’s virtual assistant technology Alexa played loud music in violation of the noise pollution rules.
The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court has upheld the conviction of a man, who kidnapped and raped an 18-month-old neighborhood girl and left her in the jungle unattended for one full night. The HC has enhanced his life imprisonment till the end of his natural life.
The bench further said that there is no clarity as to how these six persons were chosen when the FIR had alleged that there were about 40 to 50 demonstrators.
