The Wisconsin Supreme Court is expected to hand down its final ruling soon in one of President Donald Trumpâs last remaining election challenges after a rare Saturday hearing that featured heated rhetoric and a few justices open to some of Trumpâs arguments that local elections officials didnât follow state law.
Justices will need to issue a ruling swiftly because Wisconsinâs 10 presidential electors are set to vote for President-elect Joe Biden on Monday.
Also on Saturday, a federal judge in Milwaukee dismissed another one of Trumpâs lawsuits seeking to overturn Wisconsinâs presidential election result. U.S. District Judge Brett Ludwig, a Trump appointee, said Trumpâs arguments that the court should order the Republican-controlled Legislature to name him the winner âfail as a matter of law and fact.â
