MUMBAI: Questioning who would take responsibility if students got affected due to Covid-19, Bombay high court on Thursday declined to interfere with the state government’s decision to cancel SSC exams, stating that it was a policy matter.
“These are all matters of policy. The executive has taken a decision. It may appear to you and me as foolish…Is there a ground to interfere?” asked a bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Girish Kulkarni. The judges said they would only interfere “if the policy decision manifests arbitrariness or it is infringing upon the right of a person bound by the decision.” ....

Mumbai:  The Bombay High Court on Wednesday asked the Central government to reconsider its current protocol that doesn t allow door-to-door vaccination. The court also said that had the government incorporated such a policy earlier, it could have saved lives of senior citizens and specially-abled persons who were unable to visit vaccination centres. ....
