Behchokǫ̀ woman sentenced to 3.5 years for fatal drunk driving crash

Kelsi Camsell, who pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death and impaired driving causing bodily harm, was sentenced to 3.5 years in custody on Wednesday. The crash that happened nearly two years ago claimed the life of Felix Black, 22, and injured another passenger.

(Walter Strong/CBC) Justice Louise Charbonneau sentenced Tariq St Croix Thursday to five years in jail and three years probation for brutally stabbing his ex-wife on New Year s Eve two years ago.  St Croix pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and aggravated assault in N.W.T. Supreme Court. The Crown prosecutor and defence lawyers jointly recommended a five-year sentence.
