they re going to say, president of the united states needs to say what joe biden says coming out of the helicopter. i will say that four years or eight years whoever the president is, respect the jury deliberation process. let s bring in charles komen, when i became a lawyer, my mentor says, here is the deal, jury they usually get it right. 10% of the time you are going to get a verdict that you just don t understand. it s going to work against you, you are going to think it s the worst verdict. for the most part it washes itself out. in this case, if people don t like the verdict, charles, i guess you probably agree with me, they need to change the law
trying to photograph the jury. no one from msnbc, no one else will be permitted in this building during the duration of the trial. this is a very serious matter. emily: todd piro, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. todd: there was a commercial a few years ago, and it was for an insurance company, and the line was this is not how that works. that s not how any of this works. and throughout the trial that s what i ve been thinking. the last thing, the msnbc situation is to me the most egregious of all. if the jury deliberation process is sacrosanct in their ability to do their job without any extra judicial interference is paramount to our judicial system. we cannot have what we saw, even if it s just a legend at this point. and even the fact that they just were around the jury then cannot happen. because just the act of being
now, faith, here we are confronted with a juror saying no, it was what we were told that the law says. i felt he was guilty. two others felt he was guilty of manslaughter. we saw half the jury go in the room, ready to convict him of something. half the jury goes for an acquittal. what happened? this is an example of the push and pull that is a part of a jury deliberation process. you go in. you re supposed to vote your conscious. you can tell this juror, her first gut reaction was second-degree murder. but after those discussions and the way they decide to interpret the evidence, because let s be clear, they could have discounted and discredited george zimmerman s story completely and decided to interpret the evidence in a different manner. but the way they interpreted the evidence and decided to apply it to the law, you she is saying her hands were tied as a result of that. so that was essentially what happened here. we got to go.
one son is an attorney. the other spouse is an attorney. we know that at the beginning of this jury deliberation process what happened was they asked for all of the exhibits, a listing of all of the exhibits. to me, that indicates somebody who is going to analyze and take the time to go through that. and what better person than somebody who is married or has a son who is an attorney and knows that whole process. laura: the details, alan of these jurors. one of the jurors has used to have a conceal carry permit and her husband currently has a conceal carry permit. now, that doesn t tell you everything, but that s that is just another interesting fact about who these people are, their background, which might inform how they look at these facts of whether this guy was just a wanna be cop who was ready to shoot somebody up. absolutely. one of the jurors has an 11 and 13-year-old. she specifically used this
