no, congress absolutely needs to get to the bottom of this. this is one of those disgusting stories that for purely political reasons to complete a deal with iran they turn their nose away. the investigators put their lives on the line and are doing a great investigation and then get to the point where they are seeing there are untold amount of drugs and cocaine coming to the united states of america via hezbollah of all people, and they just start to turn a blind eye to not prosecute or tone it down? i mean, politico, this is one of the best investigative pieces of jurnlism given the depth. the people are on the record. but the author of this piece has got to be proud of the work. because he has done a good job documenting this. congress should look at it and it s a disgusting story. david: there are a couple things in this story, unsealed ....
Listen in. what to you are the key indicators of its strength and success? you know, americans look at washington and can t imagine success? yeah. i deliberately did not look at the stuff we do in day-to-day jurnlism, congress, polarization of parties, et cetera. i mean these kind of pathologies are part of daily life in politics in other countries too. what i looked at two kinds of factors. one was possessions, asset in the banks, or nuclear weapons, projection forces, navies, and then you look at these things and you wonder how could anybody talk about china being a great power when you see a u.s. navy which dwarfs the next 14 navies. when you look at projection force s where the united states has 10, 20 times as many bombers and troop transporters, et cetera. that s the cash in the bank. but then i thought, well, what ....
