Swink student and Girl Scout Bethany Taullie has been working for months on a project she deemed Bethany s Birthday in a Bag for children of the lower Arkansas Valley. Her plan was to collect birthday supplies and decorations; toys, books and crafts; candy, cake mix and, of course, birthday cards; to assemble in gift bags and deliver to kids of the area communities.
Last week, with all the gift items collected, the final pieces of Taullie s project were set into motion. With the help of a small group of friends and family, Taullie spent about five hours Jan. 10 stuffing the collected birthday items into the gift bags that would be given out. ....
