In San Franciscos tenderloin neighborhood. A Huge Police Presence loused blight Memorial Church where a man has been holed up with a knife for over 12 hours now. He ran into the basement kitchen of the church. Police have been negotiate with him all day to come out. And right now at 7 00, on kpix 5 and streaming on cbsn bay area, a major step by a Bay Area Hospital in its battle against the coronavirus. Good evening, im elizabeth cook. And im ken bastida. It is at Good Samaritan hospital. We look at the tents that have now been taken down. Reporter a month ago, doctors and nurses at san jose Good Samaritan hospital were treating 50 patients a day in tents. We wanted to make sure that the patients in the Emergency Department that were noncovid related did not have to be around those with covid.
