Students to produce documentaries telling us what is the most urgent issue for the new president and congress to address in 2017. Students competed for the chance to win one of 150 prizes totaling 100,000 in prize money. We received almost 3,000 entries from 46 states, plus the district of columbia, england, germany, singapore, and taiwan. Now were happy to announce our first place winners. In the middle school category, the first Prize Winners are 8th graders molly doherty, camden lewis and tony decker for their documentary, u. S. Gun violence, a complicated puzzle. The first place winner is 11th grader Matthew Gannon from washington d. C. For his documentary titled invisible which deals with homelessness. Matthew also won this years fan favorite contest and will receive an additional 500. In the High School Central ....
