live in san francisco, anne makovec, kpix 5. students at santa rosa junior college are being warned to watch out for jonathan hoppner. the 23-year-old sex offender is being released today. he has been arrested for multiple sexual batteries on the campus. one incident involved a 15-year- old girl. hoppner is considered a high risk offender. the developmentally disabled man is being released in a hotel in petaluma. plans are afoot to revamp an iconic resort in the oakland hills. the claremont. the developers in the city of oakland are in talks to build 45 new condos in the parking lot of the claremont hotel and spa. the project would be marketed to people who want to downsize now that their children are grown up. we asked people in the neighborhood their opinions on the proposed project. i think it would look better than a parking lot. as long as they are tasteful. i think it really destroys the heritage of this site. i really do. it s the claremont s just gorgeous. i
