Good morning. Im richard lui. Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki is standing his ground right now. Hes refusing to resign over allegations that treatment delays at va hospitals led to veterans deaths. The acting Inspector General for the va says so far there is no evidence that anyone died as a result of waiting for care. Nbc news and the pentagon correspondent Jim Miklaszewski has details. Reporter as a former army general, this is not exactly secretary Eric Shinsekis idea of taking the hill. Shinseki appeared before the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee to answer questions and take the heat over the growing scandal at va hospitals.
