Minister for Health and Ambulance Services The Honourable Yvette D Ath Mackay residents will have greater access to the COVID-19 vaccine from this week with the opening of a new community-based vaccination centre. The new centre will be located at the 500 Pavilion at Mackay Showgrounds, and will open to a small number of existing bookings on Friday, 30 July 2021, before gradually ramping up capacity. Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D’Ath said the new centre was part of the Queensland Government’s strategy to ensure access to vaccinations across regional Queensland. “As more Queenslanders come forward for vaccination, the Palaszczuk Government continues to work on growing its network of COVID-19 vaccination locations across the state,” she said. ....
