View Comments LOUISVILLE, Ky. A woman riding a moped was killed Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run crash at Hikes and Goldsmith lanes, according to Louisville Metro Police. Sixth Division officers responded about 3:45 p.m. Friday to the reported crash at the intersection of Hikes and Goldsmith lanes, with witnesses saying a passenger vehicle was heading west on Hikes Lane at a high rate of speed, LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said. The vehicle ran the red light and hit a moped that was traveling south on Goldsmith Lane and had the green light, Mitchell said. The passenger vehicle then fled the scene by heading north on Bardstown Road, Mitchell said. ....
