Buddha statue painted bright red on McGregor Boulevard brings mixed reviews Instead of the gold color, it is now a bold, bright, red. Owner Ozzie Morrobel said after years of wear and tear, the statue needed to be touched up. “I kept looking at it every day thinking you know what, it needs some loving, to brighten it up a little bit,” Morrobel said. “I said why not red?
