The Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) held a drive-through volunteer appreciation event on July 16
th to recognize hospital volunteers who go above and beyond to serve patients, visitors, and assist staff.
Forty-seven volunteers were presented with service awards, notably Claire Bonneville and Gisele Welch were each presented with plaques for 50 years of service, and Margaret Towndale for 45 years of service.
Volunteers could schedule a time between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to pick up their gifts curbside.

The Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the BEA+ 2020 Awards in a series of staggered videos on Thursday; it was also the launch of the first edition of the BEA+ magazine.

And, it was an emotional time for Douris, a well-liked and busy volunteer, a talk-show host and a former millionaire who years ago spent months living in a truck, surviving a suicide attempt and later becoming a mental health advocate.
