NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI – James Douglas Cody, 74, of Midway Drive, Negaunee Township, passed away at his home Monday evening, February 1, 2021.
Jim was born November 23, 1946, in Ishpeming to Clayton and Margaret (Carlin) Cody, graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of ’67 and was a lifelong Negaunee area resident. Jim completed his schooling at Michigan Technical College, earning an Associate’s Degree as a diesel mechanic. He was employed as a diesel mechanic at both Lakeshore Inc. and LS&I Railroad.
In his spare time, Jim loved being at his home doing tasks. He could usually be found tinkering around in his garage, maintaining the lawn and doing small projects. ....
