BARRY COUNTY, MI – A former teacher at Thornapple Kellogg Schools is accused in a murder-for-hire plot that was disrupted before his wife was harmed, the FBI said in court records.
Nelson Paul Replogle is named in a criminal complaint in Tennessee alleging that he hired someone to kill his wife, Ann, after paying someone $17,800 in Bitcoin, court records said.
The FBI on April 20 received information from the British Broadcasting Corporation that Ann Replogle had been named as a murder-for-hire target, FBI special agent Clay Anderson wrote in the complaint. ....

(CN) An East Tennessee man the FBI arrested at the end of March allegedly led one of the better-known English-language publications in the orbit of the Islamic State group, according to extremism experts who monitor the group.
Federal prosecutors have accused Benjamin Carpenter, 31, of providing translation and transcription services to the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, and running Ahlut-Tawhid Publications, an organization with international connections. ....

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. A Knoxville man accused of trying to help ISIS terrorists will remain in jail until his scheduled June trial, a federal magistrate judge ruled Thursday. 
The judge said prosecutors presented evidence he translated an ISIS execution video and was in contact with a known ISIS recruiter. 
Benjamin Carpenter, 31, faces charges for attempting to provide material support and resources to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS).
In her ruling, Judge Debra Poplin said prosecutors convinced her Carpenter is a clear danger to the community and should remain in jail. ....
