A man who fell asleep driving home from work has had his dangerous driving conviction set aside and will be allowed to appeal, after saying an unknown medical illness was to blame for his crash. David Savieti caused a head-on collision when his vehicle crossed the centreline, and into the path of a vehicle, on May Road in Auckland’s Mount Roskill.
