For the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons, winning a district track and field team championship last season was nice. But the bigger picture is to perform their best when the Class 3 track and field state championships arrive in late May.
This week marks Blair Oaks Winterfest, and Blair Oaks has announced its Winterfest Court. The Greek-themed week will culminate in basketball games vs. Versailles on Friday and a dance Saturday evening at the high school.
The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons came close to winning a track and field state title last May. They have the pieces to be competitive among the state’s top athletes again this season. “With the great athletes we lost, you wonder how great we’re going to be this year,” Blair Oaks girls coach Marc Keys said. “After seeing the incoming freshmen and who we’ve got coming in, I think we’re going to be a little better than I thought."
