MIDLAND, TX – A fight at the El Mitote Sports Lounge turned deadly after a patron was shot to death. According to the Midland Police Department, the shooting occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday. The preliminary investigation revealed that a verbal altercation broke out outside the bar at closing time. The argument turned physical and then Juan M. Anguiano was shot. Anguiano was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Officers discovered multiple suspects were involved in the shooting, but they fled the scene before police arrived.
