Community, was raided by police an event which led to days of angry protests against the stateendorsed persecution of homosexuals. Today, annual gay pride marches take place worldwide in honor of that uprising. Many countries have now recognized the rights of homosexuals. But theres still a long way to go. In poland, for example, homophobia is on the rise. A road sign designed to name and shame. Its a protest against nearly a hundred polish municipalities that have declared themselves free of what they call lgbt ideology.
