Crews responded to a report around 10:45 a.m. that two women had washed off the breakwater, which extends out from Eastern Point Lighthouse in Gloucester’s outer harbor, according to a statement issued by Police Chief Edward Conley and Fire Chief Eric Smith.

While so many have let their facial hair grow out during the novel coronavirus pandemic, local police officers are sporting beards and mustaches for a different reason. Â
