OCALA, Fla. – A man is behind bars after he was arrested inside a bank during an attempted robbery, according to Ocala police.
Joshua Snavely, 36, was arrested Saturday at a Bank of America branch at 2326 E. Silver Springs Blvd, according to the police report.

Officers said Snavely approached the window and read the teller a prepared note, saying that he was robbing the bank and that she was to give him money. The teller looked to a coworker who then activated the alarm, according to the report. ....

After failing in his attempt to rob an Ocala bank, suspect arrested

OCALA A man who failed in an attempt to rob a bank was arrested by Ocala police officers on Saturday.
The officers took 36-year-old Joshua Snavely into custody at the Bank of America at 2326 E. Silver Springs Blvd. at 12:15 p.m. Snavely, who police officials said is homeless, was charged with attempted strong arm robbery.
Snavely told detectives that he wanted free money, authorities said.
Officers said Snavely entered the bank around noon and stood in line. When it was his turn, police officials said, Snavely walked up to the teller. He read from a note, which reportedly stated this is a robbery and to give him all of the money. ....
