Preliminary hearings scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in the case of an Allen man charged with six counts of possession of child sexually abusive materials has been adjourned two weeks.
Joshua Luke Curey, 39, appeared in court as scheduled and sat next to his attorney, Kimm Burger, but Hillsdale County Prosecuting Attorney Neal Brady requested a two-week adjournment as his office was having difficulty finding a key witness in the case needed to establish probable cause that a crime was committed and that Curey is the one who committed the crime.
“If we can’t find her, it’s going to be a problem,” Brady said. ....

HILLSDALE An Allen man has been charged again with six counts of possession of child sexually abusive materials.
Joshua Luke Curey, 39, was arraigned Friday in the 2B District Court on the charges stemming from November 2018 and is facing up to four years in prison if convicted as charged.
But, this is not the first time Curey has been charged in this particular case; he was previously arrested and arraigned on the charges which were later dismissed without prejudice, according to arraignments attorney Keith Stickley.
Stickley asked the court to consider a personal recognizance bond in the case and said that Curey would appear for any and all future court dates. ....
