ELMHURST, IL In the last few days, Elmhurst police have handled cases involving harassment, a liquor theft, check fraud, a scam, private information in a trash bin and driving violations. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Harassment
Zachery R. Murphy, 22, of Elmhurst, was arrested on a charge of harassment through electronic communications. He was released on bond. The incidents happened from Dec. 17 to Jan. 4, according to police. The victim said Murphy contacted her numerous times after an officer previously instructed him to have no further contact with her, police said.
