WOW Founder David McLane Offers An Update On Status of Company

In an interview with The Joshi Sun Times, WOW – Women of Wrestling founder David McLane said the company is hoping to hold tapings and “commence distribution” of their footage in the fall. It will depend on California’s COVID-19 restrictions, as the state is currently closed due to a surge in cases this month. McLane said that while production of WOW content has been on hold due to the pandemic, they are waiting to resume production when California allows for the return of live events. He noted that if more people are vaccinated, this means that it will be more likely that they’ll be able to return. He noted that while there are wrestlers he would like to have back, everything will be “fluid” and depends on timing with the scheduling. The company currently does not have an exact return date, but tapings will happen in Los Angeles. Some of the roster members may be booked elsewhere whenever the company is allowed to return.
