But it wasn t only two debutants who made an impact in Norths 40-10 win over Goodna at Cribb Park on Saturday night. Norths paid their respects to support captain Ethan Page after his grandfather passed away before the match. A minute s silence was observed before players wore black arms. The coach praised his players for their tribute during a time one of the club s fine leaders was grieving. They all stepped up and did it for him, head coach Michael Williamson said. ....

Swifts turned on an awesome performance in demolishing Brothers. The Tigers will need to step up a few notches if they are to tame the Bluebirds. They will rely heavily on Ethan Page who was in great form last week. Flying Fijian winger Ratunaisa Vatuinaruku enjoyed a near perfect performance in Swifts stunning 52-18 A-Grade victory over Brothers at Purga. Vatuinaruku booted eight goals from nine attempts and scored a first-half try as the Bluebirds raced to a 24-6 halftime advantage before continuing to outclass the 2019 premiers after the break. It was a big win for me and for my kids, Vatuinaruku said, typifying the fine family spirit at Swifts Rugby League Club. ....
