Welcome to the slavery and freedom exhibition. Im mary elliott. Im a Museum Specialist and cokurater of the slavery and freedom exhibition, which is one of three exhibitions here in this museum. We actually have three exhibitions in this gallery, and those exhibitions cover 15th century africa and europe all the way through today. Some of the things we cover include holding on to humanity under some of the most inhumane conditions. We look at the harsh reality of slavery and freedom and the resistance and survival of a people. We look at how africans and africanamericans shape the world as well as the nation. We look at how they were shaped by the landscape and shaped the landscape. Its important to point out that means socially, politically, economically, geographically, culturally and intellectually. Whats very important for people to understand is throughout this museum we look at these stories that are american stories. Theyre human stories and theyre told through the africanameric

Ive gone the north dakota. Im definitely a peter pan type. Ill never grow up. This is who i am and i cant change. I play video games online for a living, and as an adult, youre constantly told, grow up. Stop playing. Its in the a game. But i want to make my entire life about playing. Survivor is the game of games, and i am going to win. Young people are always on social med but i dont like being tied to my phone. I generally resent technology. Well, its video that is leading the fbi tonight to ask for help identifying these two men. They are wanted for questioning as possible witnesses in the weekend bomb blasts in new york and new jersey. The man charged in those attacks is recovering from gunshot wounds. Homeland security correspondent jeff pegues is following this. Is appealing for help in finding these two men who were four blocks away on west 27th street at the same time. Police say the two men removed a bomb from a piece of luggage, putting it on the sidewalk, and then walked away, leaving the device but taking the suitcase. N. Y. P. D.
