Eastern Union's Broker Workforce Triples In Size From 30 To 90 Within One Year

Encouraged By The Productivity Of First-time Brokers, Commercial Brokerage Increases Draws And Accelerates Full-commission Timetable

NEW YORK – MAY 24, 2021 – Eastern Union, one of the country’s largest commercial real estate finance firms, has tripled the size of its broker roster from 30 to 90 people over the past twelve months. The company plans to carry forward its hiring momentum by more than doubling its number of brokers within the next year.
In addition, encouraged by the better-than-anticipated performance of its newly trained broker recruits, Eastern Union has enhanced its remuneration rates for both new hires and existing employees.

Eastern Union Broker Closes $32-Million Multifamily Acquisition Loan After Less Than One Year on The Job

Carrying an interest rate of 3.4 percent at a five-year term, the acquisition loan had a 70-percent loan-to-value ratio with 24 months of interest-only payments and an amortization period of 30 years. The deal also included flexible pre-pay terms and had no COVID-19 reserve requirement.
The borrower had been facing a rapidly approaching deadline for completing a 1031 exchange. He had previously been pursuing financing from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but neither was able to match the financing package offered by Eastern Union.
