Joseph Russell Barnes, 71, of Greenfield, IN passed away December 10, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis, IN, a son of the late Corina (Obermeyer) and Dempsey R. Barnes. Survivors include his wife, Lana Dee (McCarty) Barnes; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Daniel Barnes, Alvin Barnes; sister, Mary Hon.
Joseph graduated from J.F. Kennedy Memorial High School. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, from May 1969 to January 1972 when he was Honorably Discharged. He worked on helicopter maintenance., earning the rank of SP5. ....
