Fortunately, the two men who got shot didnât have life-threatening injuries. Police found one victim on a nearby porch. Paramedics took that man to Memorial Hospital, which is where the other man was going when police found him on Main Street. ....
SOUTH BEND â Police are investigating the shooting of two men late Wednesday afternoon in the area near Coquillard Park in South Bend. Dispatchers sent police on reports of multiple shots fired about 5:45 p.m. at the 1200 block of Campeau Street. South Bend Police Capt. Joseph Leszczynski said police arrived to find one male victim on a porch near the park. A second victim was found on Main Street on the way to Memorial Hospital. Leszczynski said both victims were being treated for non-life threatening injuries and both were expected to survive. Several people were gathered in the park for a cookout in the pavilion, but Leszczynski said it was early in the investigation and the facts of the shooting were unclear. ....
