As statewide mask mandate ends, businesses can still require masks


Over 1.1 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus as of Friday, according to an Indiana State Department of Health dashboard.
But according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, even fully vaccinated people should continue to wear masks in public, when gathering with unvaccinated people from more than one household and while visiting an unvaccinated person at high-risk of severe illness or death.
That s in part because health experts are still learning exactly how and for how long vaccinations impact the spread of the virus.
St. Joseph County Health Officer Dr. Robert Einterz has renewed his order calling for people to wear masks in enclosed public spaces and workplaces, drawing swift rebukes from the Republicans who control the county’s executive branch. ....
