A proposal to establish citywide park closure hours in San Francisco was passed by a board of supervisors committee. The legislation would establish closure hours of midnight to 5 am. At most parks around the city. The proposal is an attempt to combat vandalism and Illegal Dumping in parks which cost San Francisco more than 900thousand dollars annually to clean up. Violators would face a fine of up to 100 dollars for a first offense, with escalating fines for subsequent offenses. The legislation will come in front of the full board at its october 29th meeting.
