I did speak with a daca recipient and they say this is a step in the right direction but the legal fight is not over. As of last night, the federal government once again began accepting renewal requests for those looking for protection from deportation. Im excited that they may have some sense of relief. One of those dreamers, his parents brought him to the u. S. From mexico when he was ten. He has an american education, graduating from uc berkeley in 2016. He is one of the immigrants covered under the daca program started by president obama. One of the biggest fears i have is that i will see some of my friends be persecuted. The future of daca has been up in the air. In tuesday a federal judge in San Francisco ordered the administration to resume daca. It took hours for some people to get home from work this afternoon because of a Man Threatening suicide at the walnut creek b. A. R. T. Station. A man was threatening to jump from the ledge on the elevated platform level of the station. This is the walnut creek station which is back open as we speak. It was shut down to riders for the better part of several hours. Investigators spoke to the man at that time convincing him to come down to safety. Neighbors told me tonight when they heard gun fire, they all ducked for cover. Bullet gun casings mark the spot where the shots were fired. The victims were sitting in a vehicle here at parker street. Were not specific if it was a driveby or somebody walked up and shot into the vehicle. Reporter three young men in their late teens were seated in that car, two in serious condition, one has nonlife threatening injuries. We have our crime scene unit here processing the team. Reporter there is a possibility there was more than one shooter and right now police are looking for a motive. We would look to see if there is any type of gang ties to this. Those are some. Her family identified the victim as misty sing, amir marcried mo of two. They were forced into a stolen suv after a robbery around 2 30 this afternoon. More than a dozen Police Cruisers chased the car as it flew across the streets of stockton. The suspects fired at them with a semiautomatic weapon and the police returned shots during the 45minute long chase. During the chase, the suspects threw two hostages from the speeding car. We spoke to a witness that saw a victim. She was on the ground and my brother saw her and her leg was tore up and bleeding and the Fire Department wasnt there yet, nobody was there. The video was of driving by a big police suv type thing parked in the Center Divider and in front of him on the ground was a girl in gray, who was turning over and her leg was all bloody and he was standing over her and they were waiting for help.
