Photo courtesy of Jordan Charlebois The OPP says the area east of Kenora near Hawk Lake and Willard Lake are being evacuated because of forest fires. Fire information officer Jonathan Scott says three fires have burned over 150 hectares so far. “Going forward it will probably be named Kenora Fire #25,” says Scott. “There’s air attack on it at this time. There are four crews on it. The forest fire hazard is high to extreme across the northwest region today so we really want to stress to the public fire safety and prevention.” Scott says the three fires near Little Narrow Lake are being reclassified as one fire. ....
