BARROW’S Salvation Army spread joy this Easter by giving chocolate goodies to families in the area. Donations from customers of Morrison’s and a delivery of eggs from Siemens Offshore meant that the organisation was able to deliver more than 200 Easter eggs along with a Christian Easter magazine and a support leaflet to families over the weekend. Barrow Salvation Army officer Jonny Whitmore said: “We shared over 200 Easter Eggs within a mile radius of the Salvation Army. They were some of the families who were referred to us for support at Christmas time. “We wanted to connect with those families and say that we recognised that it continues to be a tough time for many families but there are still people available for them to talk with.
