Ex-Sen. Doug Jones joins law and lobbying firm Arent Fox

Former Sen. Doug Jones (D-Ala.) has joined law and lobbying firm Arent Fox as counsel after losing his reelection bid in 2020.
Jones joined the firm s government relations, government enforcement and white collar groups. His former aide, Cissy Jackson, also joined the firm as counsel. Jackson previously served as counsel and national security adviser to Jones in the Senate.
The duo is expected to focus on national security, health care and financial services issues.

Jones served in the Senate from 2018 to 2021. He won a special election to replace former Attorney General Jeff Sessions
Jones was nominated by President Clinton in 1997 to serve as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama. He formed the Birmingham firm Jones & Hawley, PC in 2013. ....

Arent Fox LLP announced today that Jones will join its
Government Relations and Government Enforcement & White Collar division, along with his former senate staff member Cissy Jackson.
Jones was elected in 2017 and served in the U.S. senate from 2018 until leaving office in January 2021, after he lost his Nov. 3, 2020 bid for re-election to U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville.
