To the editor: Once again, Elise Stefanik has prostrated herself as a supplicant to Donald Trump and his morally challenged minions in hopes of improving her own political prospects. Her cynical and sycophantic descent into the murky depths of Trumpworld knows no bounds, as illustrated by her sign-on to the state of Texas’s illusory lawsuit that was just turned down by the Supreme Court. I think we can all agree that Stefanik is not stupid or ignorant. She and her 125 congressional partners in crime knew very well that Ken Paxton’s hare-brained antics had no chance, no basis and were promulgated by such crazed and sleazy advocates as Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell. That only leaves the possibility that Stefanik’s only goals were to maintain her own political profile while ignoring what she obviously knows is constitutional law.
