witchcraft studies, margo burns. she s one of the leadest experts on the witch trials. one of the editors of the witch hunts. to some degree, she s probably forgotten more about the documents than i ll ever know. we asked her here today to speak specifically about those records and the amazing things you can learn from the close read of those. she s also the author of one of my favorite and most important articles on the salem witch trials that looked at the whole issue of false confessions. i strongly recommend it to you as well. so margo burns. just so you know, i have a complete different read on the coercion of false confessions than he gave you. read my article and find out. i m here today primarily to talk about the actual documents and how do we know what we know. one of the things tad was saying is quoting from here, there, and everywhere, and i m going, oh, i know where that came from, i know where that came from. which document is that? whenever i read or hear any
