A 23-year-old Battle Creek man is in custody and is the suspect of a December armed robbery in Springfield.
Calhoun County Sheriff Department Detective Jon Pignataro said Friday that the man was arrested Thursday before deputies executed a search warrant at a home at 109 Waubascon Road as part of the investigation of a December armed robbery. We have developed leads and based on that were able to identify a suspect, Pignataro said.
Detectives served several search warrants on social medial platforms as they developed a suspect.
Just before 4:30 p.m. Thursday members of the sheriff s department Special Response Team went to the home on Waubascon Road with a search warrant and Pignataro said evidence from the robbery was located.
