legal battle. today, trump said he received a letter from smith informing him that he is the target of another grand jury investigation, the one on interference in the aftermath of the 2020 election. two sources confirmed to nbc news that trump did get that letter from smith. trump says that the letter gives him until thursday to report to the grand jury. spokesperson for the special counsel s office declined to comment. people who received target letters, this is important to note, often are indicted, and it is not always the case. this news comes on the very same day as a major hearing in the classified documents case. today, jack smith s team squared off aggressively with trump s attorneys over timing and logistics. we will have more on that in a moment. but earlier tonight, trump talked about the target letter at a fox news town hall. i got the letter on sunday night, think of it. i don t think they ve ever sent a letter on sunday night. and they are in a rush because t
