Strong. we wrote three agreements last week. this is the very first price increase i ve experienced since 08. reporter: across the city there are homes suddenly selling for asking price or more. brandon ward and jolene hall went shopping for new homes. even as prices inch up they re still so low they believe they re getting a bargain. oh, yeah, we still think we re going to get a very good deal. absolutely. reporter: it s put a smile on the face of sellers across the country. in 13 cities home prices rose for the first time in eight months. it was small, an average of 1%, but it was growth. in atlanta, a comparable three bedroom that sold for $399,000 in march sold for $442,000 in april. in the nation s capital, from $359,000 to $392,000 a month later. and in san francisco, a comparable two bedroom that sold for $450,000 was selling for $535,000 in april. but the word wasn t all good. seven cities saw their average home prices drop. and across the country, values are still at ....
