FRANKLIN, Ind. – Last week, the Franklin Township of Johnson County Trustee’s office and staff presented the Franklin Mayor s Youth Leadership Council with a check for $15,000 to fund a Safe Haven Baby Box. The Baby Box is to be installed at the Franklin Fire Department’s Fire Station 22, at 1800 Thornburg Lane.
The Youth Council partnered with Beats for Bristol, Inc. to assist in this service for the community. Beats for Bristol was responsible for laying the foundation for the project.
The teenagers involved still have quite a bit of work ahead of them, but they are excited to get the box placed and functional at the fire station. ....
