good evening, i m diane dwyer. we have an extended bay area newscast because of the kentucky derby earlier this afternoon. and we begin in fairfield where a dispute inside a home ended in violence early this afternoon. nbc bay area has more on the latest developments. kimberly? reporter: we were told minutes ago a search warrant has been written for the home that has been involved. fairfield police are just waiting for the search warrant to be signed so police officers can go into the home in question. really they re looking into what led up to the shooting that left three people dead and another person injured here. fairfield police say they got the call just after noon today. the caller said he was shot inside the house and said the gunman was also inside continuing to fire his weapon. when police arrived, they say they found four victims, two people were dead, another had non-life-threatening injuries. he was taken to the hospital, treated, and released. and a four ....

awareness month, free screenings were offered today at san francisco s chinatown public health center. faculty from ucsf s dermatology department held the screenings which involve a visual examination of the skin. they noted any skin markings that looked suspect. people also received information on how to protect themselves from the sun. and dermatologists say early detection is key to diagnosing potential cases of melanoma. one in five americans has skin cancer at some point in their lives. this rate is actually increasing. so we would really like to raise awareness and help prevent the rate increase and diagnose any issues early. more than it 90% of skin cancer is caused by excessive exposure to the sun. skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, and as she mentioned, one in five americans will get it in the course of their lifetime. and we re going to check in with rob about the sunshine. i am one of those one in five who s had skin cancer. and now i ....
